ENOUGH TO BREAK THE ICE BOOM
This weekend my dad and I are going together to a conference for all the computer peoples called WordCamp. I’ve gone the past two years and it’s been a crazy ride. The first year I went I collected the cards in a contest they had and won an iPad mini! The second year I gave a presentation called the Next Generation of WordPress. This year I’m just attending again but after this first day it’s already been great.
But you all know me… my mind is never in the right place. So here’s a post that’s not about WordPress at all! (:
My dad and I drove up to the south FIU campus back and forth twice today, because we had to go somewhere else in the middle of the day… long story. Anyway we were in the car for almost a couple hours all together so I got the chance to listen to lots of music : D
You all know I love music. But I feel like there’s a certain satisfaction from listening to music in the car. Especially really chill music like Coldplay or Arctic Monkeys. The feeling of listening to music while riding/driving in a car is so powerful that it turns my geeky cheeky self into an angsty teenager. Which I am totally NOT! !! Psshhhh what would make you think that *looks out car window, brooding into the distance*
But seriously I am probably the geekiest person there is. I have the glasses, the freckles, and t-shirts basically make up my whole wardrobe. And then Everything’s Not Lost comes on while palm trees fly by and I start thinking deeply about my life and feelings.
But seriously, listening to music is so much better when you’re in the car. The music just kinda surrounds you and you can stare out at the landscape passing by. All the artsy tumblr feelings.
side note: It SUCKS not having a phone because I always hear amazing lyrics and want to tweet them right then and there but then I never have wifi and I forget once I get home and I don’t want to be a dweeb and write it down :///

Other kinds of songs I like listening to in the car are summer-y songs. You know, like shake yo booty, rockin, poppin, roll the windows down, breathe in the fresh summer air and smell the freedom, real SUMMER tunes. Let’s pretend that was a coherent sentence.
